dpad is a lightweight collection of browser tools. We follow a Privacy First design approach and minimize data collection so your data stays under your control.

Local processing

This is dpad's most important privacy principle.

Text, JSON, YAML, and environment variable comparison tools run inside your browser. HTTP Trace is a network tool and uses the configured trace backend.

This means:

• The text, code, or files you enter are not uploaded to dpad servers.
• We cannot view, read, or save your tool content.
• When you start HTTP Trace, the target URL, configured User-Agent, and TLS verification choice are sent to the configured trace backend.
• HTTP Trace can save its User-Agent and TLS verification choice in this browser's local storage; trace URLs and results are not saved there.

Website analytics and third-party services

To improve the product experience and support site operations, we may use or later add third-party services such as Google Analytics or Google AdSense to collect anonymous visit statistics, including:

• Cloudflare Analytics
• Google Analytics
• Google AdSense
• Microsoft Advertising (Bing)
• Other analytics, advertising, and infrastructure services

These services may collect anonymous visit data, such as:

• Page views
• Browser type
• Country or region, inferred from IP address
• Referring pages and visit paths

Advertising platforms may also use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, measure performance, and prevent advertising fraud.

These third-party services do not access the text, code, or file content you enter into dpad tools.

Cookies and local storage

dpad and third-party services may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for:

• Keeping the website running normally
• Saving language, display, and HTTP Trace preferences in your browser
• Website analytics
• Ad display and performance measurement, if enabled

HTTP Trace stores only its configured User-Agent and TLS verification choice locally. Local storage may persist until you restore the defaults or clear this site's browser data. You can disable or delete cookies and local storage in your browser, but some features may be affected.

As the product evolves, this privacy commitment may be updated from time to time.
